Abstract

488,239. Clearing and tensioning yarns. WHITAKER, J. O. July 10, 1937, No. 19169. [Class 120 (ii)] A clearer disc 5 provided with slots of different gauge and rotatable to bring any one into operative position is provided with a central aperture so that it may fit upon the cup of a balldrag tension device and be secured thereon by the usual mounting 15. One of the slots in the plate may be of such width that no clearing action is effected. The disc is preferably marked to indicate the counts corresponding with the slots. The Provisional Specification comprises also the application to a tension device of the washer type.
