485,413. Tool-holders. BREUNING, R., (trading as KOMET STAHLHALTERUND WERKZEUG-FABRIC R. BREUNING). April 8, 1937, No. 10021. Convention date, April 24, 1936. [Class 83 (iii)] A tool-holder, more particularly for a too with a hard metal inset having provision for adjusting the cutting angles of the tool is characterized by the provision of a number of interchangeable jaws adapted to be mounted laterally on the holder 1, Fig. 1, said jaws 3 being provided on one side with a rib 10, Fig. 3, engaging in a groove 11 in the holder and on the other side with a groove 4 for the tool 5; a screw-threaded bolt or pin 7 passing through the holder and jaw the cylindrical head of the bolt being provided with a hole of a cross-section corresponding to the crosssection of the tool to serve for the passage of the tool for clamping. The slots 15, 16, Fig. 4, for the clamping bolt are elongated to allow the interchangeable jaw members, which have tool-carrying slots of different inclination, to be adjusted to give the same height to the cutting edge of the tool.
