169,435. Simmons, C. A. Sept. 24, 1920, [Convention date]. Tool-holders.-A lathe or like tool 22,Fig. 11, is held in a longitudinal recess 3 at the end of a shank 1 by means of a clamping- plate 5, which makes pointcontact at 7, with the transversely-inclined holder 2 and is gripped by a ballseated screw 12. The clamping-plate is of approximately triangular form and is provided with a screw 16 for use when holding short tools, Fig. 1. Tools.-The tool 22, Fig. 11, is shown of hexagonal cross-section.
