Abstract
485,367. Tents or shelters. SMITH, SIR J. J., and SMITH & CO. (LONDON E.), Ltd., J. Nov. 23, 1937, No. 32217. [Class 20 (i)] A tent or shelter comprising a number of transverse arches k and a longitudinal ridge-piece formed in two parts c, d adapted to fold down at the centre, and connected to the end arches, has the flexible covering material j attached .to the arched members by rings i<1>. The rings may be sewn to the flexible covering, or wire clips s, as shown in Fig. 4, may be used to attach the rings to the flexible material which is reinforced by strips u. The ridge-piece may be hollow with a sliding spring-pressed bolt g to engage both parts at the hinge.
