Abstract
366,629. Shelters for aircraft; tents. BOIZEAU; R. H., 8 bis, Boulevard de Cluis, Chateauroux, Indre, France: Nov. 20, 1930, No. 34984. Convention date, Nov. 23,1929. [Class 20 (i).] A portable shelter, awning, or the like, which may be used to house aircraft, and which is of the type in which the framework for the covering material is formed of longitudinals carried by vertical supports from cables suspended at their ends from masts, has the longitudinals formed in sections joined together and the whole structure stayed by flexible means, four corner masts only being used. The masts 4, which may be built up in sections, are stayed by flexible stays 6 and carry at their upper ends, by means of adjustable pulley tackle 5, the suspending cables 3 from which hang the longitudinals 1. These are built up of rigid sections. 18, 20 joined by tubular sleeves 19 and the covering material which is also formed in sections overlaps at the adjacent edges 22, 23 to provide for watertightness at the joint. The sides of the tent are formed by uprights 8 and diagonals 9, anchored between the side purlins and the ground, and forming separate bays, and the intermediate longitudinals are also connected together by flexible ties 10, 11.
