Abstract

480,055. Lubricators. SMITH, E., and SMITH, H. March 5, 1937, No. 6536. [Class 12 (iii)] [Also in Group IX] Lubricators for the arbors of the drawing- rollers of spinning and like machinery comprise a hard vulcanized fibre or like slightly porous strip E. and a container C which may be of glass and may enclose a felt or like absorbent pad. The container may be clipped to the hooked rod F, Fig. 1, or to the weight hook of a worsted or cotton spinning frame, or to the front roller bracket S, Fig. 7, the lower shaft P being lubricated by a fibre strip E and the top by a fibre strip G from a felt pad in a cap H. Boss rollers K, Fig. 11 are lubricated by a fibre strip J accommodated in the stationary arbor.
