Abstract
474,355. Copying milling-machines. DECKEL, F., (trading as DECKEL, PRAZISIONSMECHANIK UND MASCHINENBAU, F.). June 10, 1937, No. 16155. Addition to 460,552. [Class 83 (iii)] In a pantograph copying machine according to the parent Specification, the tracer 20 is connected to the tracer 19 of the pantograph 3 .. 6 by means of a universal joint 33, which may consist of a cardan joint as shown, or a ball-and-socket. The pantograph 3 .. 6 is attached to a bracket 2 pivoted to the machine frame at 7 and a vertical slide 8 on the frame carries a pantograph 9, 10 provided with a bar 12 moving parallel with itself. The socket 13 for the cutting tool 14 is attached at one end of the bar 12, and a tracer for use in copying to a 1 : 1 ratio may be attached to the other end of the bar. The tracer holder 21 is connected to the bar 12 by a flexible arm 22. A bar 16 is secured transversely to the bar 12 and carries an adjustable bracket 18 pivotally connected to a holder 17 at the copying point of the pantograph 3 .. 6. If the socket 13 is mounted by a freely movable arm such as the arm 22, the holder 17 may also be connected to the bracket 18 by a universal joint.
