Abstract
471,980. Converting; supply systems for welding; high-frequency apparatus. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. March 16, 1936. No. 7873. Convention date, March 16, 1935. [Classes 38 (ii) and 38 (iv)] Welding electrodes 8, 9 are supplied from an A.C. source 1 through a static frequency changer which gives the ninth or higher harmonic of the frequency of the source 1. Three three-phase primaries 2<1>, 3<1>, 4<1> are arranged so as to give nine-phase secondary voltages in the secondaries 2<11>, 3<11>, 411 which are arranged in open-delta and connected groups of three and paralleled through condensers 5, 6, 7.
