Abstract

446,223. Converting. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London. April 12, 1935, No. 11419. Convention date, April 21, 1934. [Class 38 (iv)] Harmonics are eliminated from an A.C. network 13 by means of a star connected filter each phase of which consists of a parallel resonance circuit 1 tuned to the fundamental frequency in series with a number of parallel connected series resonance circuits 2-6 each tuned to different harmonic frequencies. The parallel resonance circuit 1 prevents the voltage of fundamental frequency from being impressed on the harmonic filter circuits 2-6. The Fig. shows the network 13 being supplied from a network 10 through a transformer 12, the network 10 also supplying a converter 11.
