Abstract

471,975. Sifting - apparatus. SIMON, Ltd., H., SPEIGHT, J., and SCOTT, J. H. Feb. 5, 1937, No. 4900/36. [Class 117] In a plansifter comprising two groups of sieve trays spaced apart on either side of a driving shaft, each group comprising sets of superimposed trays fixed together and the sets being side by side, the material travels towards and away from the driving shaft which extends between the two groups of trays. The machine described comprises three sets of sieves arranged side by side on each side of the driving shaft 10, each set being as shown. The " throughs " from the sieve cloths 15 pass through short ducts 17 but are spread out at intervals when they reach the apertured trays 18. The sieve trays in each set are clamped together.
