441,809. Sifting-apparatus. BUHLER BROS., Uzwil, Switzerland. April 23, 1935, No. 12244. Convention date, April 25, 1934. [Class 117] Air passing upwards through a sieve or sieves is guided by surfaces separated from the sieve surface the guiding surfaces being both above and below the sieve or sieves and distributed across the width thereof. In the form shown, blades 4, 5 are mounted above and below the screen 2 which is suspended on links 1 and has tapering outlets 3 for the rising air stream. In a modified form the upper blades have horizontally flattened tops and the lower ones are parallel sided.
