Abstract

471,607. Milk &c. cartons. UTILITY CARTONS, Ltd., and HOLMAN, L. B. March 28, 1936, No. 9247. [Class 66] A paper &c. carton 1, Figs. 1 and 3, for milk, &c., formed by folding a blank into pyramidal form and securing the overlapping meeting edges by rubber latex is provided with an end closure formed from a blank with its corners cut away to form a square panel 2 with wings 3 which are secured inside or outside the rim of the body by rubber latex, or similar adhesive insoluble in water. The closure may be affixed in place by a tapered block 4, Fig. 3, with the application of heat; the flange 3 may be turned outwards. The fold lines may be covered with latex, or the interior lined with latex and wax. Two layers of paper may be secured together with latex, or two tubular structures may be secured, one within the other by latex which may be liquid or dry.
