Abstract

469,572. Packages. LOESCH, M., (trading as LOESCH SPEZIALMASCHINENFABRIK FUR DIE SCHOCKOLADEN - INDUSTRIE, M.). Sept. 4, 1936, No. 24202. Convention date, Feb. 29. [Class 94 (i)] Bars of chocolate and the like are enclosed in a wrapper 1 which is applied in tubular formation with the edges 3, 4 brought together as shown. The edges are gummed together over their whole length and folded flat on the article, and the projecting portions 5, 6 of the wrapper are flattened and the ends secured by gummed tape 7, 8. The tape may extend beyond the edges of the wrapper as indicated in broken lines, to form tabs to facilitate removal. The end portions are now folded on to the bottom of the article as shown in Fig. 4, the edge portions 9, 10 having been previously turned in. Instead of the adhesive tape, the wrapper may be formed with a portion susceptible to heat sealing.
