[Classes 44 and 65 (i)] In an adjustable catch bolt comprising a pair of screw-connected parts n, k influenced by a spring m, the head l of the part k is prevented from rotation by being fitted in a rectangular casing c, and the part n is normally prevented from rotation by engagement of its prongs with squared openings in the face plate a. It is provided with a roller o having a slot t or may have its end rounded and slotted. To effect adjustment, the part n is pressed back against the spring w so that its ends clear the slot in the face plate and it is then turned by a tool or coin inserted in the slot t, In a modification, the part into which the member n is screwed is prevented from rotation by studs. The fitting may be applied to the vertical edge of a door or to its bottom edge.
