[Class 44] In order to ensure proper seating of a door to prevent draughts and rattle, the boxkeeper 3 for a latch of rim type has an inwardly directed tongue 6 forming an abutment against which the latch 4 bears. The tongue is formed by pressing out from the latch-receiving aperture in a plate 6a secured to the striking- face by a screw or screws 7, and its inclination may be adjusted by a screw or screws 8 in the keeper wall.
