467,999. Espanding-pulleys. RUAU, F. F., and MOLINS MACHINE CO., Ltd. Dec. 28, 1935, No. 35924. [Class 80 (ii)] [Also in Group VI] An expanding-pulley 23, for driving the conveyer-band 10 of a cigarette-making machine, comprises overlapping peripheral segments 28, pivoted through links 129 to a flange 24, secured on a hollow shaft 25 driven through worm-gearing 22 from the main shaft 16 of the machine. Springs 30 urge the segments inwards, and their radial position is controlled by a micrometer adjustment-screw 40, acting on the segments through a lever 37, internal rod 34, collar 32, and links 31.
