Abstract
466,818. Oil engines. HESSELMAN MOTOR CORPORATION, Ltd. Dec. 6, 1935, No. 33916. Convention date, Dec. 18, 1934. [Class 7 (iii)] In an engine in which jets of fuel are injected through a nozzle 4 into an air charge rotating in a combustion chamber and the mixture is ignited by a sparking-plug 5, the horizontal projection of the jet 9, which is injected in the direction of rotation of the air, makes a greater angle c with the cylinder diameter through the nozzle than the angle d made by the horizontal projection of the jet 10 which is injected against the direction of rotation of the air. The jet 9 may also make a greater angle with the cylinder head and have a smaller penetrative power than the jet 10.
