465,383. Pianofortes. MORLEY & CO., Ltd., R., and MORLEY, F. D. Feb. 28, 1936, No. 6028. [Class 88 (ii)] The ribs b are arranged on the same side of the wooden soundboard a as the strings and the bridges c, which latter may rest flat on the ribs or be notched to receive them partly, as shown, or wholly. On the opposite side is arranged a slip f, underlying and conforming to the shape of the bridge c. The frame may be so arranged as to allow the bridges to have a gradually increasing height from the treble to the bass.
