Abstract

464,121. Pumps. JENDRASSIK, G. July 8, 1935, No. 19474. Void. Convention date, July 9, 1934. Drawings to Specification. [Class 7 (ii)] An exhaust-driven turbo blower, for charging a two-stroke Diesel aircraft engine, is further provided with a free-wheel clutch so that it may be driven through gearing by the engine at starting, and when under heavy load. The Specification, which does not admit of satisfactory abridgment, describes the application to opposed, or radial, cylinder engines in which the turbines are kept cool by using excessive charges of scavenging air, pressure diagrams being shown.
