Abstract

458,738. Vehicle lamps. STUBBE, F., Vlotho-on-Weser, Germany. July 27, 1936, No. 20765. [Class 75 (ii)] In a vehicle lamp in which the reflector, or a major portion thereof, is adapted to be rocked and /or reciprocated into any desired position by means of a Bowden cable operated from the driver's seat, a spur wheel 12 is keyed on to, the extreme end of the core 9 of the cable and engages a toothed segment 14 on one arm of a stirrup 13, the other arm 16 of which is slidable and rotatable on a tubular bolt 4 or like member fixed in the lamp casing, the arm 16 being pivotally connected by means of a link 18 to a ball-bearing cage 5 carrying the reflector 3. The cage 5 may be formed with curved bearing surfaces 6, and the supply flex 19 may pass through an aperture 15 in the stirrup 13. In the form shown, the light source 1 moves with the reflector 3, but in a modification, shown in the Specification, the light source is carried by a fixed central portion of the reflector and only the outer annular portion of the reflector is movable.
