Abstract
284,996. Biglia, V., and Cozzolino, G. U. Feb. 7, 1927, [Convention date]. Mounting electric lamps in lanterns. - In a vehicle lamp, a parabolic reflector 7 carrying an electric lamp bulb 12 is adapted to be swung about diametrically opposed pivots 8 by two diametrically opposed electromagnets 14 arranged at right-angles to the pivots 8 and operating against return springs 16. The pivots 8 are carried bv a spherical member 6 which carries two resilient tongues (not shown) adapted to engage the reflector and elastically maintain it in any intermediate position. The pivots 8 may be arranged horizontally for anti-dazzle purposes, or they may be arranged vertically and the reflector swung automatically by the steering gear. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also swinging the reflector by rigid or flexible mechanical means. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
