Lantern shutters.-The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises a device for preventing dazzle in vehicle headlights in which strips 11 with their under-surfaces silvered to form reflectors are supported at their outer ends in notches 10 in a circular frame 9 fitted on the front of the head-light, the inner ends of the strips being supported in recesses 12 in a rack 13 which is adapted to be moved vertically by the driver and so incline the strips and direct the light rays downwardly. In a modification, the ends of the strips are bent downwardly at right-angles to rest on the next lower strip, the lowest strip being mounted on pivots which are adapted to be rotated to incline all the strips. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
