457,559. Vanity cases. CHISHOLM, A. R., 321, Park Avenue, East Orange, New Jersey, U.S.A. Aug. 27, 1935, No. 23954. [Class 18] A vanity case comprises a onepiece base A, a cover B, and a removable one - piece partition member C which divides the case into a compartment 1 for powder and a dispensing compartment 2 with a restricted communication between them. This restricted communication is provided by stopping the wall 16 short of the base of the case, or by extending it to the base and serrating its lower edge. The top wall of the member C is wholly or in part horizontal, and the member C is a friction fit in the base A with the cover a friction fit over the base, or both cover and base may frictionally engage or be screwed on to the member C. The cover may be hinged and may be fitted with a mirror E. A puff D serves to prevent loss of powder from compartment 2 when the case is not in use. To fill the case, the base is removed, and member C inverted, and if a paper seal 18 is placed across the mouth of compartment 2, compartment 1 can be completely filled.
