Abstract

457,016. Rotary pumps. WASS, J., Glendon, Park Drive, Forest East, Leicester. June 13, 1936, No. 16511. [Class 110 (ii)] The pump has a rotor 2 provided with vanes 2a which co-operate with impellers 4 mounted loosely in the casing 1 to pump fluid from an inlet 5 to a delivery port 6. Centrifugal force causes the curved surface of each impeller to bear against the casing bore, and a vane 2a drives it. A thrust plate 12 is formed integrally with a fixed bush 10. A chamber 11 contains grease for lubricating purposes. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 19896/14 and 169,229, [both in Class 110 (ii)].
