456,640. Valve generating circuits. TINGLEY, G. R., PUGH, D. W., and BAIRD TELEVISION, Ltd., 58, Victoria Street, Westminster. May 17, 1935, No. 14109/36. Divided out of 456,666. [Class 40 (v)] In a generator of saw-tootl oscillations for the control o: scanning in television &c., of the type comprising a valve having its grid and anode cir cuits coupled for the produc tion of oscillations, the coup ling being so tight that the production of oscillations is periodically modified or inhi bited, a variable grid potentia is given by a potentiometer fed by a battery or, as shown, by a rectifier. A large condenser 6 shunts the potentiometer. The grid coil 2 is wound on the anode coil, so as to obtain tight coupling with small capacity of the grid coil to the ferro-magnetic core which has an air gap the length of which fixes the fly back time.
