455,027. Freezing sera &c. SHARP & DOHME, Inc., 640, North Broad Street, Philadelphia, U.S.A. Jan. 4, 1935, No. 352. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 1, 1935]. [Class 29] [See also Groups VI and XVII] Preparations of sera in the solid state and readily convertible into the liquid condition are obtained by rapidly freezing the fresh sera and removing water therefrom by means of a high vacuum. These preparations may be made in receptacles such as the bottle shown in the Figure which is fitted with a screw cap 4 having a perforation 5 serving to secure a rubber seal 3 which can be penetrated by a hollow needle for connection of the vacuum apparatus or for the admission of liquid into the sealed container.
