Abstract

311,286. Vereinigte Stahlwerke Akt.-Ges., (Assignees of Burkhardt, E.). May 8, 1928, [Convention date]. Borehole apparatus.-Subsoil is sampled by driving into the ground a hollow pile a provided with a perforated shoe b and containing a divided tube c provided with a flap valve d operated by a system of rods and levers e; on reaching the desired depth, the pile cap is removed to permit removal of the tube c. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that the tube c may be used alone. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
