454,147. Spray carburetters. CASTELLINI, A., 17, Via Milano, Voghera, Italy. Dec. 19, 1934, No. 36389. [Class 7 (iii)] Fuel is supplied to a passage 7 in an injector or nozzle D by the pressure of an air supply in communication with the top of a small fuel tank 4, the air also traversing a passage 2 in the nozzle at right angles to the passage 7 ; the passages 2, 7 intersect immediately behind a spraying orifice 3 through which the air forces the fuel in a minutely pulverized condition. The rich mixture thus formed is diluted with air drawn in through a surrounding passage 1. The flow of fuel at the nozzle is adjusted by raising or lowering the tank 4 relatively to the nozzle or vice versa.
