G., 2500, Hunting Park Avenue, Philadelphia, U.S.A.) Jan. 31, 1936, No. 2944. Convention date, Jan. 31, 1935. [Class 20 (ii)] Composite metal-sheeting stock suitable for stamping and like operations and for use as metal vehicle-body panels, is formed from thin metal laminations 10, 11 bonded together by a permanently plastic elastic cement 12 of a gauge thinner than the metal lamination. One of the metal sheets may be perforated to reduce the weight and increase the sound-deadening effect without material reduction of strength. Where rubber cement is used as the bonding material, the metal sheets may have their adjacent surfaces brass-covered. Where the panels are to be welded together, their edges are left free from the bonding cement.
