Abstract

450,291. Pipe couplings. FRIBERG, E. W., Hakantorp, Sweden. Nov. 14, 1935, No. 31523. [Class 99 (i)] Two pipes are coupled in alignment or at right angles by end members 1, la in the form of sockets, the member 1<a> having a flange 2a disposed at 45‹ to its axis to abut against a flange 2 on the member 1. The two members are clamped together by a screw 10 which is carried bv a bow 7 on the member 1 and engages a conical recess 13 in an abutment 14 on the other member, the screw being perpendicular to the flanges when coupling is effected. Fluid tightness is secured by a packing ring 4 located in an annular groove 3 on the flange 2.
