Abstract
447,975. Cutting by fusion. LINDE AIR PRODUCTS CO., 30, East 42nd Street, New York, U.S.A. Oct. 22, 1934, No. 30288. Convention date, Oct. 31, 1933. Addition to 447,751. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, April 29, 1935.] [Class 83 (iv)] The apparatus described in the parent Specification is modified by the use of means for adjustably supporting the blowpipe nozzles in desired spaced relation so that the gas streams may be applied in any of a number of different directions. The nozzles are individually adjustable by the bolts 17, but the vertical spindle 19 carrying the nozzle head may also be indexed to a number of positions by releasing the latch member 52, the operative end of which engages with a number of notches 51 provided in a collar 48 fixed to the arm 20. The nozzles may thus be indexed through 180‹ when both directions of travel of the nozzles are to be used in working.
