444,003. Heating by electric induction. NEISS, O., 84, Caspar-Voght-Strasse, Hamburg, Germany. Sept. 11, 1935, No. 25274. Convention date, Sept. 11, 1934. [Class 39 (iii)] In an electric heating-appliance in which the substance 1 to be heated consists of ferromagnetic material and in which the heating is produced by eddy currents in an electrically good conducting layer 4, the layer 4 is located at the points of transition of the magnetic lines of force between the substance 1 and a yoke 3 carrying the induction coils 2, and is arranged in intimate molecular combination with the substance 1. The layer 4 may be secured to the substance 1 by hard soldering, a galvanic process, or a metal spraying process. The plate 1 may be the bottom of a cooking- vessel.
