[Class 47 (ii)] [See also Group X] A crop or other sprayer comprises a wheeled carriage 10, a liquid reservoir 15, an air pump 17 for agitating, and establishing a discharge pressure above, the liquid, and an extended, adjustable spraying device 27. The pump 17 can be driven from the wheels 11 by a chain 20, or by a handle applied to its driving shaft 24. It discharges compressed air by a pipe 21 to a perforated pipe 22 arranged longitudinally at the bottom of the reservoir, so that the air agitates the liquid before discharging it by a pipe 25 to the spraying device. The latter is adjustable in height by means of curved guides 34 and clamps 35, and comprises three sections 28-30 supported by a boom 37, 38 and connected by flexible pipes 31. The boom is also in three sections, the outer sections 38 being pivoted to the central section and supported by detachable struts 40, so that these sections can be folded in when the apparatus is not in use. The spraying nozzles 32 are directed downwardly. The pipe 25 is provided with a valve and may have a filter at its inner end. The spraying device may be so constructed that its span is adjustable.
