[Class 70] A process for producing rubber thread or the like consists in applying latex or like dispersion to a wire or yarn, bringing the latex into contact with coagulant, withdrawing the treated latex, stretching it before it is fully coagulated, and completing the coagulation. As shown, a wire or yarn 1 coated with latex is run over a roller 2 running in a bath 3 of coagulant. The partially coagulated rubber tube formed is split and removed from the wire, stretched, and fully coagulated. Specification 441,124 is referred to.
