437,767. Lawn-mowers. ETABLISSEMENTS E. VACHETTER & FILS, 82, Rue du Chemin-Vert, Paris. Oct. 24, 1934, No. 30508. Convention date, May 14. [Class 6 (ii)] The frame of a lawn-mower comprises parallel sides rigidly connected together by front and rear cross-bars, the rear cross-bar being formed with cheeks 4a at right angles thereto which fit externally against the sides of the frame and are provided with lateral projections or lugs 4c having vertical machined faces 4e for the adjustable attachment of correspondingly faced portions 5a on the ends of a carrier 5 for the ledger blade 10. The carrier 5 is adjusted vertically by set-screws 6 and is clamped in position by bolts 7 provided with control springs 8 within bosses 4<g> on the lugs 4a. The bolts 7 extend through rectangular openings in the end parts 5a of the blade carrier 5 and screw into nuts 9 having projections 9<a> adapted to slide in grooves 5f in the parts 5<c>. The cheeks 4a are bolted to the side-bars of the frame. The cutting-edge of the ledger blade 10 is always parallel to and vertically below the axis of the rotary cutter.
