490,105. Lawn-mowers. WAYMOUTH, H. Sept. 11, 1937, No. 24791. [Class 6 (ii)] The ledger blade 10 of a lawn-mower is carried by a frame 11 which is pivoted in front of the axis 6 of the rotary cutter Springs 12 press the frame in a rearwarc direction to keep the ledger blade in con tact with the cutter The ledger blade is fixed to the frame at its rear edge, the front edge being free to adjust itself to irregularities in the cutting blades. The frame may be pivoted on the driving wheel bolts 3 and the angle subtended by the points 3 and 6 at the point of contact 15 between the ledger and rotary blades is approximately 35‹. To prevent excessive movement of the frame 11, a stop 14 may be provided.
