[Class 131] A hair-curler comprises a relatively long thin spring, a primary flexible part secured, or able to be secured, alongside the spring to form therewith a loop into which the end of a tress of hair can be inserted prior to being rolled therearound, and a secondary non-metallic and substantially inextensible flexible part which can be secured to the spring or loop by the stressing thereof to lie along the loop and maintain the rolled tress in position thereon. In the form shown the spring is of helical form and is enclosed in the end portion 13 of a length of tubular flexible material, preferably fabric, the remainder of the material being folded back and secured to the spring by caps 14, 16 to form the primary part 15 and the secondary part 17. A fastener 18 is frictionally secured to the end of the part 17 and is adapted to engage a hole 20 in the end of the cap 14. In a modification, the part 15 is permanently secured to the spring at one end only, the other end being provided with a fastener adapted to engage the cap 16. In further modifications, (1) the primary part 15 is provided with an internal helical spring, and the fastener 18 is in the form of a cap or socket, and (2) the spring is in the form of a flattened coil and uncovered.
