Abstract
437,080. Hair waving appliances. WARET, J., 1, Rue du Courtsillon, Villierssur-Marne, France. Jan. 28, 1935, No. 2773. Convention date, Jan. 29, 1934. [Class 131] In apparatus for use in hair-waving of the kind comprising a heater containing an electrical resistance and a current-supply device in which the heater is preheated before its application around the wound tress of hair, the heater comprises a pair of jaws 4 pivoted on a block 7 of insulating material carrying a casing 2 containing a heating resistance connected to terminals 3, and the current supply device comprises a casing 5 provided with supports 14 for the heater and with spring blades 6 which engage the terminals 3 and contact with terminals 19 connected to a source of current. The two blades 6 may be situated at one end of the casing 5, the terminals 3 being correspondingly arranged, and the heater may be adapted to be inserted laterally into the casing 5.
