436,798. Current and pressure meters. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, and TAYLOUR, H. H., c/o General Electric Co., Witton, Birmingham. April 17, 1934, No. 11569. [Class 37] Means for obtaining in a circuit 10 a D.C. voltage proportional to a D.C. voltage in a circuit 6 comprises a transformer 2 energized from an A.C. circuit 3 and connected through rectifiers 7 so as to supply current to the circuit 6. The transformer also supplies current through a tertiary winding 8 and rectifiers 9 to the circuit 10. Differences between the voltage of the A.C. source 3 and the D.C. circuit 6 are absorbed either in series reactances 4 or in the leakage reactance of the transformer so that its secondary terminal voltage remains equal to the voltage of the circuit 6 and the voltage of the tertiary winding which is closely coupled to the secondary remains proportional to the voltage of the circuit 6. In a modification, the tertiary winding 8 is omitted, the rectifiers 9 being connected directly to the terminals of the primary 1.
