Abstract

434,522. Spray-producers. ROWER, C. J., 31, Benett Gardens, Norbury, London. April 4, 1935, No. 10468. [Class 69 (iii)] A liquid-sprayer of the kind in which compressed air is fed to a spray-head mounted on a liquid container 3 is provided at the juncture of the head and container with an isolated air chamber 10 having inlet and outlet holes 9, 11, by which accidental entry of liquid to the head is prevented. The spray-head comprises a hollow cylindrical body 1 with a handle 4, through which compressed air is supplied, and a cap 2 engaging the container and having formed in it the chamber 10. In the head is a liquid jet communicating through a tube 6 with the container and regulated by a needle valve 7. The chamber 10 is provided with a removable lid 15 clamped thereon by a hollow bolt 18 forming part of the tube 6. Liquid is atomized by compressed air passing around the jet 5 and through a nozzle 12 having additional air openings 13 which are regulated by rotating a ring 14.
