Abstract

432,704. Stamping. MASCHINENFABRIK WEINGARTEN VORM. H. SCHATZ AKT.-GES., and WACHTER, A., Weingarten, W³rtemberg, Germany. March 26, 1935, No. 9377. [Class 83 (iv)] The draw ring 11 of a sheet-metal, &c. press is resiliently supported by an hydraulic piston 18 and also by another piston 13 in tandem therewith supplied with gaseous fluid pressure from a reservoir 15, the pressure of which can be varied by a valve 16 for improved raising of the ring. The piston 18 is supported by oil &c. pressure 20 from a reservoir 21 with compressed air 22 on top. A valve 24 with fluid operated piston 26 is set to control exit and extrance of the oil 20. In a modification, the gaseous fluid pressure piston 13 is replaced by two pistons in tandem and is supplied from a reservoir located in the base of the press.
