431,741. Grinding. AKTIEBOLAGET M. HOLMQUIST, 10, Strandgatan, Halmstad, Sweden. July 5, 1934, No. 19786. Convention date, July 26, 1933. [Class 60] [See also Group XXII] A dividing plate for adjusting the slide of a grinding-machine through worm gearing is provided with a rotatable stop which is removable from its bearing and at the end which projects from said bearing is provided with a number of plane stop surfaces arranged at different distances from its axis. The crank arm 1 fastened to the end of a worm-spindle 2 and the dividing plate 3 are of ordinary construction. The dividing plate carries a lug 6 through which passes an adjusting screw 7, the end of which bears on the periphery of the stop-pin 10 ; the latter is provided with a number of flats, which vary in their distances from the axis of the pin, and has a latch 13 so that it may be indexed around to bring the flats at the end in a proper position for engagement by the screw 7 ; the latter gives the final adjustment required. The pin 10 may be withdrawn or removed when the crank 1 is to be given a number of complete rotations. The device may be used to adjust the slide on which a grinding disc in a centreless grinding- machine is mounted.
