[Class 40 (v)] For obtaining secrecy in wireless communication, signals are radiated simultaneously on two different carrier frequencies from the same or separate aerials, and each carrier is varied continuously in frequency in such a way that the difference between the carrier frequencies remains constant. At the receiver both carriers are received on an aperiodic or flatly-tuned aerial and passed to a rectifier, the output circuit of which is tuned to the constant difference or heat frequency. After amplification at this frequency, the signal is heterodyned and received in the usual manner. At the transmitter the two carriers are continuously and simultaneously varied by linked variometers or variable condensers.
