Abstract
363,561. Directive wireless signalling. DU BOURG DE BOZAS, G., 216, Boulevard St-Germain, Paris. March 4, 1931, No. 6796. Convention date, Oct. 18, 1930. [Class 40 (v).] A beacon transmitter comprises a plurality of loop aerials whose circuits are supplied with a common radio-frequency and are tuned and detuned periodically to produce signals. As shown the mutually perpendicular loops 20, 21 are in circuit with coils 12, 13 coupled to the valve generator 25 .. 30. The loop circuits are tuned periodically by rotating condensers 18, 19 preferably driven by the same motor. Constructions of condensers are described to enable dots to be transmitted from one aerial in the intervals between dashes transmitted from the other, or different audio frequency modulations may be produced thereby. The valve 25 may have its filament and plate circuits energized from an alternating source 27 of intermediate frequency, the receiver being provided with a filter tuned thereto to reduce interference with the beacon signal.
