Abstract
427,586. Valves. WHEATON, A. W., 77, Durand Road, Maplewood, New Jersey, U.S.A. March 29, 1934, No. 9905. [Class 135] A hose nozzle particularly for delivering petrol comprises a valve body 2 with inlet 3 and spout 5, within which is a main valve 35, co-operating with a seat 27, and carrying an auxiliary conical valve 33 whose stem passes loosely through the main valve and has a lost-motion engagement therewith by a pin 42, a spring 44 closing the valves. The valves are successively opened by a trigger-lever 19, which acts on a plunger-pin 25 and may be held in open position by a lateral engagement with nosings 23 in a slot in the guard 18. The main valve 35 is guided by fingers 41. A chock-valve 13 guided by a stem 12 and a projection 15 is arranged in the inlet.
