Abstract
424,935. Locks and latches. ERAS, V. J. M., 1, Oranjepark, Dordrecht, Holland. July 30, 1934, No. 22233. [Class 44] A spring-pressed sliding latch 3 is withdrawn by push-pins 11, 12 pivoted to a lever 10 which has a forked arm 13 to engage with flanges 6, 7 on the latch. The pins may lie in cups 15 and 16 fixed to the latch casing and an escutcheon plate 17 respectively, and the pin 12 may be formed in two parts 12, 27 screwed together to render it adjustable for doors of different thicknesses, the part 12 being hexagonal to fit in a similar hole in the cup 16. The latch 3 may be locked by a bolt 23 controlled by one or more spring-pressed sliders 19 and adapted to engage behind the latch head.
