[Class 122 (i)] In piston packing wherein simple rings 6 are mounted above wearing - rings 1 provided with projections 8 which enter grooves in the sides of the packing ring grooves, the wearing - rings 1 are divided into sections provided with lap joints 2 and projections 5 which entei anchoring - recesses 9 in the piston.
