Abstract
422,503. Heating water. STOTT, V. H., SCHOFIELD, L., STOTT, R. E., and JONES, A., Vernon Works, Lee Street, Oldham. Oct. 25, 1933, No. 29566. [Class 64 (i)] In a heater for supplying boiling water and for heating urns A and B by supplying steam to jackets thereon, condensed water and steam are led from the urn jackets by pipes 1 and 3 to a vessel 4 disposed above the heating burner C and pass from thence up a pipe 5 back to the boiler. The steam formed in the boiler is led from a steamcollecting bell E through a pipe F and pipes G, provided with stopcocks G<1>, to the urn jackets. The bell E may be provided with a conical top, or it may be dispensed with and the top of pipe F bent over. The steam from pipe G may pass through spirals of tubing contained in the jacket spaces of the urns. Pipes G may be dispensed with and pipes F and 3 both connected to pipes 1.
