[Class 36] Means for impregnating cables comprise a stationary annular tank a adapted to contain impregnating compound and in which are disposed annular baskets e for holding the cables to be impregnated, the baskets being such that they fill the tank as completely as possible. The tank may be provided with coiled pipes b through which a heating or cooling fluid may be circulated. The tank is closed by an annular cover c on which may be mounted the vacuum pump f. In a modified construction, the tank has double walls between which the heating or cooling fluid is circulated.
