Abstract

203,896. Brailsford, R. S. Sept. 9, 1922. Combing-machines.-Direct metallic contact is provided between the stationary steam or other heating chest in a wool or like combing-machine and the moving comb circle by means such as a trough 4 on the chest 3 filled with metal which will melt under the heat from the chest and into which dip fins 5 on the circle 1. Graphite or a like substance ,may be employed, or metallic brushes arranged between the stationary and moving parts.
